Ulysses Roy Comeau, 87, died Sept. 22 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham with complications of pneumonia. He was the husband of the late Joan (Dumas) Comeau, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. She predeceased him in December 2017.
Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Annabelle (Bourgoyne) Comeau. He moved to Massachusetts and settled down in Hopkinton and raised a family. He owned and operated Roy’s Cleaning Service for several years. He carried inspiration, hard work and devotion to family. He was a great mentor, father, grandfather, husband and friend.
He is survived by his children, Gary and wife Kathleen of Ashland, Dale and wife Marcia of Framingham, Wayne and wife Melissa of Hopkinton, and Theresa and husband Donald Roy of Uxbridge, his 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Kevin, who died in December 2019, and leaves daughter-in-law Cathy of Marlborough.
Calling hours at the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home are Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 4-7 p.m. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 10:30 a.m. in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Hopkinton.
