With Town Meeting warrant open, town offers guidance for submitting articles

by | Dec 31, 2021 | News

At its Dec. 14 meeting, the Select Board voted to open the May 2 Annual Town Meeting warrant.

Town Manager Norman Khumalo called it “a step that actually begins to bring residents into the legislative process,” and requested that any residents interested in adding an article reach out to Town Hall for assistance.

In a press release on Dec. 30, the town offered more information, indicating that article language can be submitted via email as a shared Google doc or in Microsoft Word format to Assistant Town Manager Elaine Lazarus at elainel@hopkintonma.gov, or on paper by mail to Town Manager’s Office, 18 Main Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748.

The town website (hopkintonma.gov) has a Guide for Citizen Petitioners with more details on the process.

The warrant will close Feb. 1.
