This past Saturday a number of HHS athletes competed in the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association invitational meet. Hopkinton technically was not sanctioned to compete, so athletes had to register themselves individually, and coaches could not attend. For the girls, Hailey Tolson posted a second-place finish in the 60 and third-place finish in the 300. Cat Dacey took sixth in the 600, Grace Joy ran a six-second personal best to take seventh in the mile, Kate Powers took sixth the shot put, and Caitlin Barnes was ninth in the 800. For the boys, Nick Brown took second in the 2 mile, Wyatt Ruff was third in the 1,000, Harrison Prucher took third in the 55 hurdles (breaking the school record in the preliminaries), and Sean Golembiewski was fourth in the 55 hurdles and tied for third in the high jump.
