Announcements
Library director Heather Backman will be resigning her position as of July 9 for a position with the Weymouth Library. The library wishes her well in her future endeavors. More information can be found on the library website.

The library has expanded its hours and now is open to the public Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Every Tuesday and Thursday in June from 1-7 p.m., Friends of the Hopkinton Public Library will be collecting books — hardcover, paperback and audiobooks only in good to excellent condition — for an upcoming book sale. Visit the Friends website at hopkintonlibraryfriends.org for more information.

SpeakOUT Boston Panel
Tuesday, June 22, 7-8:30 p.m. (Zoom)
The library welcomes SpeakOUT Boston for a Pride Month event. SpeakOUT Boston is the oldest LGBTQIA speakers bureau, founded in 1972. The panel of community members will share personal stories and talk about how they’ve grown to understand, accept and take pride in their sexual and/or gender identities. After the presentation, they encourage questions from the audience.

LGBTQ+ Basics and Beyond
Wednesday, June 30, 7-8:30 p.m. (Zoom)
The library welcomes OUT MetroWest for a Pride Month presentation. This session will offer participants up-to-date vocabulary, answers to frequently asked (and frequently awkward) questions about LGBTQ+ topics, and tools for effective allyship.
