Hopkinton teen charged after stabbing on Constitution Court

A 14-year-old boy from Hopkinton was charged with stabbing another 14-year-old early Thursday afternoon, Hopkinton Police announced Friday.

The juvenile was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

At 1:48 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a stabbing involving teens at the Windsor at Hopkinton apartment complex on Constitution Court, which is located behind the Lumber Street shopping plaza.

According to a police statement: “Upon arrival, police found a 14-year-old Hopkinton boy had suffered injuries that are serious but not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

“The suspect voluntarily turned himself in to police on Thursday night. No bail was posted after he was booked and he was released into the custody of his parents overnight. He is expected to be arraigned in Framingham Juvenile Court later [Friday].”

The statement also noted, “Police report there is no perceived threat to the public and all parties involved are known to each other.”
