Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts is planning a new arts awareness campaign after being awarded $27,000 in grant funding from the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism for 2022. The HCA will utilize the funds to market a “HeART of MetroWest” campaign that raises greater awareness of the area’s fastest-growing regional arts center.
With Town Election set for May 16, the Hopkinton Women’s Club and HCAM are hosting events for residents to learn more about the candidates. The Hopkinton Women’s Club will host the 34th annual Meet the Candidates Night on Wednesday at 7 p.m. HCAM will host its annual contested races debate on Saturday at 5 p.m.
The Hopkinton Historical Society will present an exhibit on the history of Hopkinton schools with photos and artifacts. The exhibit is free and will be open to the public this weekend at the Historical Society.
Town meetings tonight include the Upper Charles Trail Committee (3), Board of Assessors (5:30), Planning Board (7) and Conservation Commission (7).
