Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detour this week

by | Jun 19, 2022 | News

There will be no Main Street Corridor Project work on Monday due to the Juneteenth holiday.

For the rest of the week (Tuesday through Friday) an eastbound detour will be in place at the intersection of Route 135 and Route 85. Eastbound traffic on Main Street will be detoured up Grove Street, across Maple Street and down Hayden Rowe Street to get back to Main Street at the Town Common. Access to Walcott Street via Main Street will not be available on Tuesday.

Parking spaces on the south side of Main Street may be impacted, but access to business will be maintained. The detour will be in place during daytime working hours only. Walcott Street will be open to two-traffic during this time to allow access via Cedar Street. Main Street will be opened up at the end of the workday to at least one lane of alternating traffic. At that time, Walcott Street will revert to one-way traffic.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
