Letter to the Editor: Still hope for Frankland Road forest

by | Jun 24, 2022 | Letter to Editor

The Town of Hopkinton is very enthusiastic about trails and how to connect them. Only the east part of town, closest to Ashland, lacks the pleasure of connected walking, biking or horseback riding trails that were in fact available through the property of Liberty Mutual at 71 Frankland Road. About 100 acres of mature forest with Native American trails and structures were appreciated by residents from all parts of town until the property was sold to a Connecticut solar company that posted no trespassing signs. Hope still exists that that parcel will survive undisturbed by inappropriate solar locations.

— Ann Karnofsky, Hopkinton, chair of Save the Forest
