Main Street Corridor Project update: Pleasant Street detour resumes

by | Oct 2, 2022 | News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the contractor will raise castings on manholes. As a result, the eastbound Main Street detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street will be in effect.

On the east side of the project, workers will continue the service connections up to property lines from Muffin House to Hayden Rowe Street.

On the west side of the project, there will be grading, compacting, forming and pouring sidewalks from Wood Street toward the Fire Station. There also will be concrete sidewalk work at the end of driveways, and asphalt work at the end of driveways for properties that have an asphalt driveway apron.. Affected property owners will be notified in advance.

At the Route 135/Route 85 intersection, workers will continue pouring and forming concrete sidewalks at the intersection (including Cedar Street and Grove Street), and continue the installation of light pole bases and new light signals.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
