Hopkinton Today: Tuesday, Dec. 6

by | Dec 6, 2022 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

Hopkinton High School recently held a signing day in which athletes inked their letters of intent to continue their careers at the collegiate level, and a trio of Hillers lacrosse players will be playing at the next level after years of being teammates.

This week’s Library Corner includes information on programs about the Roosevelts at Christmas, an author talk with Nicole Eustace, and the best bike rides in New England.

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts’ annual Members Art Show runs Dec. 29-Jan. 26 in the Lotvin Family Gallery. The HCA is accepting submissions — all media, including paintings, drawings, photographs, prints and wall-hung sculptures — until Dec. 12.

The annual Knights of Columbus free throw competition will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Hopkinton High School after the Hopkinton-Ashland varsity boys basketball game. All boys and girls ages 9-14 can participate regardless of disabilities.

Town meetings tonight include the Select Board (6), Conservation Commission (7) and Historical Commission (7).

Photo of the Day: Faith Community Church, represented by project organizers (from left) John Ramsay, Jim Tracy, Pastor Mike Laurence, Clint Clements and Sheryl Sullivan, donated 500 Christmas presents that will be distributed to families in need via Project Just Because.
