Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

About 20 people attended Tuesday’s forum for the Elementary School Building Committee, with a few neighbors of potential sites voicing concerns that existing traffic problems will get worse.

The Conservation Commission met for more than three hours Tuesday night and voted 6-0 to continue a notice of intent hearing on the Massachusetts Laborers Training facility’s proposed gas line so that alternative routes proposed during the hearing could be reviewed.

Town Clerk Connor Degan, who oversees the election process, offered some tips for those considering running for a spot on a town board or committee. The Annual Town Election is May 15, but candidates must start preparing much earlier.

This week’s Police Log includes one arrest along with reports of an injured hawk, cars stuck on icy roads, and a house break-in on Freedom Way.

The latest Hillers Thrillers Athlete Spotlight shines on boys basketball player Sam Pantera, one of the top post players in the Tri-Valley League.

Due to expected snowfall Wednesday evening, the Hopkins School concert was postponed to today at 7 p.m. All fifth-grade ensembles — band, orchestra and chorus — will perform at the Hopkinton High School athletic center.

Town meetings tonight include the Board of Health (5:30), Parks & Recreation Commission (5:30) and Community Preservation Committee (7).
