Helen Hebert

Helen Margaret Hebert, 15, of Medway passed away at her home on Feb. 25. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Sharon A. (McGrath) and Walter S. Hebert of Medway (a former longtime resident of Hopkinton).

Helen was a burst of sunshine and energy. She had an old soul with a kind and generous spirit. Her unique personality was one that left an unforgettable impression on all who knew her. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed baking with her nana. She loved flowers and created beautiful rose gardens throughout the yard. Most of all, she had an intense bond with her big brother, sharing a love of reading and history and creating fictional worlds through creative writing and drawing.

Besides her parents, Helen is survived by her brother, Walter F. Hebert of Medway; her maternal grandparents, Janice McGrath of Medway and Leo McGrath of Lynchburg, Virginia; her paternal grandparents, Daryl Hebert of West Boylston and John Hebert and his wife, Cheryl, of Covington, Louisiana; her special cousin, Arianna Hebert of Bellingham; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral mass was celebrated March 7 at Saint Patrick’s Church in Natick, followed by burial in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery. Services were under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston (ChesmoreFuneralHome.com). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Medway Public Library, 26 High St., Medway, MA 02053 to help continue the programs that have helped so many children like Helen.
