Letter to the Editor: Support for Mannan, Kizner, Mimmo

by | May 15, 2025 | Letter to Editor

I am writing in support of Shahidul Mannan, Matthew Kizner and Peter Mimmo in the Town Election. Like Shahidul, Matt and Peter, I did not grow up in Hopkinton. Nor did I attend a highly ranked high school like the one my children were lucky enough to attend in Hopkinton, not even close. I never considered this as a limitation. My grandfather grew up in Lynn and worked his way up at General Electric and was offered an excellent opportunity to move to Ohio and help open a plant there. Over time, he got involved in his adopted hometown of Silverton, including serving on the zoning board, and was named “Mr. Silverton” later in life. He was a role model to me, and wherever I have lived in my life, I have not been able to help myself from getting involved locally. I see these same qualities in Shahidul, Matt and Peter. They are active voters and participants at Annual Town Meeting, have experience serving on key financial committees in Hopkinton, and have taken time to understand the issues and how town government works. In these complicated times and with the financial stress on our town, Shahidul, Matt and Peter have the experience we need to make sure our town government runs effectively and efficiently. They can hit the ground running without a learning curve. I hope you will do your research and join me in voting for them on Monday, May 19.

— Amy Ritterbusch, Hopkinton

Letter to the Editor: Main Street barrel racing

Letter to the Editor: Too late for TIF

Letter to the Editor: Speak up about shutdown
