DPW to continue construction on multiple streets through August

by | Jul 18, 2025 | News

The Department of Public Works will continue construction on five roadways in town throughout the end of July and into August.

Affected roads are: Chamberlain Street, Angelo Drive, Colella Farm Road, Nicholas Road and Whalen Road.

Structures will be raised and adjusted July 21-22 on Chamberlain Street, Angelo Drive, and Colella Farm Road. Additional structure work will continue Aug. 4-Aug.8 on Nicholas Road, Colella Farm Road and Whalen Road, including the installation of ADA sidewalk ramps.

Both top course and binder course asphalt paving will commence at the end of July. The dates for that work are as follows:

July 28, Chamberlain Street and Angelo Drive
Aug. 11-13, Colella Farm Road, Nicholas Road and Whalen Road.

Reclaiming and grading on two of the roads is scheduled for the end of July into the beginning of August. Work on grading Nicholas Road is set for July 29-31, and Aug. 1-5 for Whalen Road.

Work hours will be approximately 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions. Residents are advised not to park in the affected streets, as doing so will interfere with project timelines.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.
