Stormwater work to close portion of Spring Street next week

by | Oct 28, 2025 | News

The Department of Works announced it will close a section of Spring Street next Tuesday for ongoing roadwork.

“We will be replacing a section of stormwater drainage pipe that crosses the road near [34 Spring Street],” DPW Director Kerry Reed stated in a notice to residents, “and we will be blocking the entire width of the road.”

Work hours are from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Spring Street will be closed between Longwood Drive and Ralph Road during those hours. Traffic will be detoured around the worksite, with detail officers assisting with traffic flow.

All work on the road is weather-dependent. The DPW postponed its previous scheduled work on Spring Street due to rain.
