For the past two years, I have had the pleasure of serving alongside Nasiba Mannan on the Hopkinton Board of Health. As the current chair of the Board of Health, Nasiba has been vigilant in staying on top of all the public health issues facing Hopkinton, from incidents of contagious diseases, to expansion of preventive measures, to air quality monitoring, to maintaining a strong Health Services program in the face of federal budget cuts to food and vaccine assistance. She has overseen upgrades to our Health Department operations and navigated budget uncertainties so that our Hopkinton Health Services Department remains a model department in Massachusetts.
With a master’s degree in public health and as a health care regulations and compliance executive with 20 years of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the board. Most of all, she cares about the people of our town and about our health services and is willing to put in the work to maintain the highest standards. Let’s reelect Nasiba Mannan to the Board of Health on May 18.
