Window open for families to request change in hybrid/remote learning model

by | Sep 29, 2020 | Education

Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh emailed school families Tuesday with a reminder that the first window to make a request for a change in students’ learning models opened today and closes Thursday at 5 p.m.

This is one of only two windows during which a request can be made for a change from hybrid to remote or vice versa. The change will become effective on Oct. 13.

The second change date will occur “sometime around the semester break in January,” the email read.

The initial plan was to have three windows to request a change, “however, it has become untenable to offer three,” Cavanaugh stated, adding: “These are complex times, and the schools are doing the best we can to accommodate all learners.”
