Arrests/Police Log, April 29 edition

ARRESTS

April 21
10:03 p.m. The Southborough Police Department advised of a possibly stolen vehicle headed toward Hopkinton. Officer Justin Cappuccio located the vehicle on Cedar Street. The driver took off and attempted to ram the vehicle into Officer Cappuccio. Shortly afterward, two callers reported a white BMW crashed into a fence and the driver fled on foot. Multiple officers and a K-9 unit responded along with Milford Police and the State Police. An ankle monitor was found at EMC Park on Hayden Rowe Street. Officer Brian Ziniti located and detained the individual at gunpoint. A 30-year-old from Treble Cove Road in Billerica was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property $1,200-plus, failure to stop/yield, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle with license suspended, leaving scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, use of motor vehicle without authority, failure to stop for police, possession to distribute cocaine, trafficking in 36 grams or more and less than 100 grams of cocaine, possession of a class B drug, and a straight warrant.

April 21
12:59 a.m. Officer Eva Cann checked on Ash Street property.
1:17 a.m. Officer Eva Cann checked on a vehicle parked on Church Street and found that it belonged to cleaners working in a building.
10:44 a.m. Sgt. Matthew Santoro reported a motor vehicle crash on Ray Street involving a motorcycle. A report followed.
11:33 a.m. A caller reported a female was yelling and hitting her dog on Main Street. Sgt. Matthew Santoro and Officer Nicholas Walker checked on the dog and it was OK.
1:10 p.m. Officer Nicholas Walker followed up on a report of the violation of a town bylaw on Elm Street.
2:57 p.m. A Front Street walk-in reported someone opened up a charge card in his name. Officer Brian Ziniti took a report.
6:32 p.m. Officer Brian Ziniti made checks of EMC Park on Hayden Rowe Street.
6:44 p.m. Officer Noah Buentello assisted a disabled motor vehicle on East Main Street and provided the driver a courtesy transport to the Shell station to get gas.

April 22
8:07 a.m. A caller complained of a construction crew blocking the roadway on North Mill Street. Sgt. Matthew Santoro responded, spoke with the contractor and told him he cannot block the road.
9:25 a.m. Officer Augusto Diaz made checks of the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
12:19 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious man on Fruit Street dressed in yellow and wearing a plastic face mask dragging something up the driveway. The caller stated that her security cameras became disabled. Sgt. Matthew Santoro, Sgt. Matthew McNeil and Officers Kyle Quinzani and Nicholas Saletnik responded and reported it was an Eversource employee changing out the meter.
12:35 p.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik made checks of the Fruit Street fields.
4:00 p.m. A Baker Lane resident reported the house next door was foreclosed, and the front door appeared to be open and the screen damaged. No vehicles were in the driveway. Sgt. Shannon Beloin and Officers Noah Buentello and Justin Cappuccio responded, entered through the front door and found nobody inside. A report followed.
4:28 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin and Officers Noah Buentello and Justin Cappuccio completed community policing on Baker Lane.
6:52 p.m. A caller reported leaving her black wallet in a shopping cart at Price Chopper on West Main Street and wanted the incident logged.
8:50 p.m. A motorist reported she was involved in a road rage-type incident on Elm Street and requested an officer to check on the operator of the truck. Sgt. Shannon Beloin and Officer Noah Buentello responded and checked in with the parties, who were advised of the complaint.
11:57 p.m. Officer Eva Cann checked on an open garage door on East Main Street and found the gate secure. Nobody was around, and it appeared that the property was not in use.

April 23
9:09 a.m. Officer Benjamin Vaz checked on Fruit Street property.
9:38 a.m. A caller reported problems with being contacted by a person while there was an order in place. Sgt. Matthew Santoro assisted and took a report.
10:28 a.m. A walk-in spoke with Officer Nicholas Walker about a possible harassment and stalking issue. Officer Walker took a report.
2:19 p.m. The Upton Police Department reported a caller witnessed a vehicle strike a guardrail on West Main Street in Hopkinton and continue into Upton. Officer Benjamin Vaz responded and checked the area for damage with a negative find.
2:38 p.m. A Benson Road resident reported a vehicle had been parked on the side of his property for three days. Officers Nicholas Walker and Benjamin Vaz checked with neighbors, who were to move the vehicle.
3:44 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour and the Fire Department assisted a Mayhew Court resident who was locked out of her house to gain access.
5:40 p.m. A caller reported juveniles smoking marijuana in a Main Street lobby. Sgt. Shannon Beloin and Officer Justin Cappuccio responded, moved the youths along and told them not to return.
5:59 p.m. A caller reported he extinguished a mulch fire on Constitution Court. Officer Kyle Quinzani and the Fire Department responded and found it smoldering.
10:19 p.m. The Westborough Police Department requested an officer to respond to a noise complaint in Westborough. Officers Kyle Quinzani and Matthew LaTour responded and assisted.

April 24
7:03 a.m. A motorist reported a vehicle passed him in a no passing zone on West Main Street. The vehicle sped up and entered Upton. The caller wanted the incident logged.
9:06 a.m. Officer Benjamin Vaz assisted a walk-in with a vehicle identification number verification.
10:07 a.m. A caller reported a small gray and brown dog with matted fur and an electric collar running loose on Donna Pass. The animal control officer was notified.
10:34 a.m. Officers Benjamin Vaz and Noah Buentello responded to a motor vehicle crash on Winter Street after a tractor-trailer struck a rock wall. No personal injuries were reported. A tow truck removed the vehicle.
10:43 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker met a Southborough Police officer to retrieve paperwork on Cedar Street.
10:50 a.m. A walk-in reported fraud. Officer Benjamin Vaz assisted and took a report.
10:56 a.m. An East Main Street caller reported her neighbor was harassing her children. Sgt. Matthew Santoro and Officer Benjamin Vaz responded, spoke with all involved parties and took a report.
11:23 a.m. Sgt. Matthew Santoro checked on the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
12:14 p.m. A caller reported an elderly female riding a stick pony in the median on West Main Street. Officer Nicholas Walker checked the area with a negative find.
12:49 p.m. A caller reported a gasoline odor in a shared garage that had noxious fumes on West Elm Street. Officer Nicholas Walker responded along with the Fire Department. No hazards were found. Trash and bags of trash were all over the property.
1:51 p.m. A caller reported her vehicle was hit in the library parking lot while she was there. Officer Benjamin Vaz responded and took a report.
2:41 p.m. Sgt. Arthur Schofield and the Fire Department responded to a report of smoking mulch on the West Main Street median.
8:07 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin made checks of Parkwood Drive property.
8:45 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin checked on the boat ramp on West Main Street.

April 25
1:28 a.m. Officer Jennifer Manning checked on a vehicle in the Sandy Beach parking lot on Lakeshore Drive and found it unoccupied and secure.
9:58 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious woman riding a child’s stick pony and opening mailboxes on C Street. Officers Matthew LaTour and Benjamin Vaz responded and spoke with the woman, who checked out OK.
10:35 a.m. A caller wanted it logged that he vacated an area as soon as a person with an order against him showed up to a business where he was present.
11:05 a.m. A motorist reported an erratic operator all over Interstate 495 northbound. Officer Matthew LaTour checked the area with a negative find and notified the State Police.
11:16 a.m. A caller reported an erratic operator who passed two vehicles on Priscilla Road. Officers Matthew LaTour and Augusto Diaz responded and checked the area with a negative find.
11:53 a.m. A walk-in handed in several credit cards and IDs found while participating in cleanup by the lake on West Main Street. Officer Matthew LaTour assisted, contacted the owners of the items and reported it was tied to a case in Hopedale. The Hopedale Police Department was contacted, and a report was taken.
1:16 p.m. Officer Augusto Diaz made checks of Elmwood School property on Elm Street.
1:20 p.m. A Pinecrest Village resident reported she found some old shotgun parts and wanted an officer to take them for destruction. Officer Augusto Diaz responded, took the parts and took a report.
2:03 p.m. An Alprilla Farm walk-in reported someone tried to open a T-Mobile account in his name. Officer Matthew LaTour assisted and took a report of fraud.
2:58 p.m. A caller reported a female screaming at staff on Main Street. Officers Brian Ziniti, Benjamin Vaz, Kyle Quinzani and Matthew LaTour responded to the disturbance and took a report.
5:51 p.m. A caller complained of youths being loud outside on Mayhew Court. Officers Kyle Quinzani and Brian Ziniti responded and moved them along.
9:45 p.m. A caller reported kids ringing doorbells and running away at Lumber Street residences. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded, and the youths were gone upon his arrival.

April 26
9:04 a.m. Officer Augusto Diaz made checks of EMC Park on Hayden Rowe Street.
9:50 a.m. Officers were advised to be on the lookout for a vehicle that failed to stop for State Police on Interstate 495, got off in Milford on Cedar Street and headed toward Hopkinton.
11:21 a.m. A motorist reported an erratic operator on Hayden Rowe Street. Sgt.William Burchard checked the area, and the vehicle was gone upon his arrival.
12:37 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour assisted a person in a wheelchair crossing Main Street.
4:13 p.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik assisted a disabled motor vehicle with lights on Hayden Rowe Street until AAA arrived.
6:04 p.m. Officer Brian Ziniti made checks of Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive.
6:14 p.m. Officer Brian Ziniti assisted a motor vehicle with mechanical issues on School Street.
8:01 p.m. Officers Sean McKeon and Brian Ziniti responded along with the Fire Department to a complaint of an illegal burn on Saddle Hill Road.

April 27
8:15 a.m. Officer Augusto Diaz and the Fire Department responded to a report of the inside odor of gas at a Chadwick Way residence.
9:18 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik took a report of fraud on Echo Brook Lane.
10:33 a.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash on Lumber Street and took a report.
10:50 a.m. A caller complained of three trucks impeding traffic on Pond Street. Sgt. Arthur Schofield responded and found a contractor working without a police detail. He advised the contractor of the need for a detail.
3:22 p.m. A Sterling Drive walk-in reported fraud. Officer Noah Buentello assisted and took a report.
5:16 p.m. A caller complained of multiple vehicles speeding daily on West Elm Street between 4-7 p.m. Officer Justin Cappuccio responded and spoke with the reporting person.
6:08 p.m. Officer Noah Buentello took a motor vehicle crash report on Hayden Rowe Street.
8:05 p.m. A caller complained of people operating dirt bikes in the roadway of Grove Street. Officers Brian Ziniti and Noah Buentello responded, and the bikes were gone upon their arrival.
8:30 p.m. A caller inquired if a black wallet with white flowers had been turned in to the station. It had not.
9:06 p.m. Officer Noah Buentello checked on a vehicle parked on Hayden Rowe Street and found a school janitor resetting an alarm. All was OK.
11:25 p.m. A caller reported he was assaulted by store staff on West Main Street. Officers Aline Matos and Robert Ekross responded and took a report.
11:31 p.m. A walk-in reported package theft from Front Street. Officer Eva Cann assisted and took a report of larceny.
