Each week, the Independent highlights an animal available for adoption at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. This week’s adoptable animal is 1-year-old Rocky.
Here is Baypath’s description of Rocky:
Rocky is a smart, active dog looking for an equally active, yet quiet, home. He has done well in a foster home previously with another dog and generally loves dogs in general. He can be a bit “reactive” (will bark from excitement) at dogs, trucks, etc., while on leash, but he is super treat-motivated and easy to redirect. He has a big bark and takes a minute — just a minute — to warm up, but give him that minute, toss him a yummy treat and he’s ready to jump in your lap!
He is crate trained, and loves to sleep in it, but can be left loose when left alone. He is house trained and is not destructive. He loves his squeaky toys and training sessions. He loves the car — though he will bark at big trucks going by! He is a playful guy, but he will settle on the couch next to you, too!
Given his size and greeting style, we feel he would thrive in an adult home. He could definitely live with another dog, too. If you think Rocky could be the one for you, please email adopt@baypathhumane.org!
