College Honors: WPI students complete research projects

At Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to addresses an important societal need or issue.

Two WPI students from Hopkinton recently completed their projects.

Junior Ryan Hawkins, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, completed a project titled “Exploring and Monitoring the Wairarapa Moana Ramsar Site.”

Freshman Oliver Yasuna, who is majoring in computer science, completed a project titled “George C. Gordon Library Mobile Application IQP.” …

At MassBay Community College, Maxwell Foster Levy earned an All-College Academic Award for his 4.0 GPA, the Division Award for the highest GPA in the academic division of humanities and social sciences, as well as the Program Award for the highest GPA in his academic program, liberal arts. …

At Holy Cross, seniors Anne Comcowich, William Moore and Emily Taylor, junior Sara Cahill and sophomore Katharine Lagasse were named to the dean’s list. …
