Doris Benoit

Doris M. Benoit of York, Maine, and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away Dec. 28. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Sigmond and Minnie (Plasse) Kaliszewski. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Raymond Benoit.

Doris is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle and her husband, Brian LaFlamme. She is known as “Dee Dee” to her five grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher, Matthew and his wife, Kathy, Michael and his wife, Nicole, Joseph and his wife, Shawna, and Emily and her husband, Chris. She also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sisters, Gladys Henry and her husband, Russell, Pauline Rana and Mildred and her husband, Maurice Brown.

A funeral mass was held Jan. 4 at St. John the Evangelist Church of Hopkinton, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Hopkinton. Funeral services were under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton (ChesmoreFuneralHome.com) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul, 18 Canton St., Stoughton, MA 02072 or svdpboston.com.
