Doris Cyr

Doris S. Cyr, 94, of Hopkinton passed away Jan. 1 at Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Maud (Jennison) and James Stewart. She was the wife of the late Howard Cyr, who passed in 1984.

Doris was raised by her mother’s brother and his wife, Everett and Louise Jennison, after her mother passed away when she was 2 years old. Doris enjoyed traveling and was an animal lover, especially of dogs. She volunteered her time at Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton and for over 14 years she walked dogs there five days per week. She rode her bike all over Hopkinton and took pleasure in taking pictures of nature along her travels.

Doris leaves behind many cousins who all remember her as a person who lived life with enthusiasm.

Funeral services were held privately with family and were under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton (ChesmoreFuneralHome.com). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baypath Humane Society, 500 Legacy Farms North, Hopkinton, MA 01748 (baypathhumane.org) or Bethany Health Care, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, MA 01702.
