Following hospitalization, Kizner returns to Select Board duties

by | Dec 11, 2025 | Featured: News, News

Select Board member Matt Kizner declared he is “still working hard for Hopkinton” despite a recent hospitalization.

Kizner, who had been absent from the most recent Select Board meeting and Special Town Meeting last week, stated in an email to local media that he experienced gastrointestinal issues last week that led to a hospital stay.

“My GI journey took a turn last week, resulting in my hospitalization and two surgeries,” stated Kizner. According to his email, he underwent an operation to remove his gallbladder.

Kizner maintained that before and since his operations, he has continued work on projects like the Charter Review Committee and the town’s water/sewer rate setting.

“It is my privilege to do this on your behalf,” he stated, “my joy that you have given me the chance to do so, and my commitment to continue to do it as long as you will let me.”
