HHS cancels live classes Friday for Grade 9 after another positive COVID case

by | Oct 22, 2020 | Education, Z-Lead Image Front Page

Hopkinton High School principal Evan Bishop announced via email Thursday night that “another person in the high school community” has tested positive for COVID-19, and all ninth-graders will have remote learning Friday “out of an abundance of caution.” All other grades will have school as regularly scheduled.

“We will be making a decision about Monday sometime over the weekend,” the email reads. “We are hoping to have the ninth grade back in the building, but it will depend on the Board of Health’s recommendation after they conclude their contact tracing process. We ask that all ninth-graders limit their exposure to others until families hear from the Board of Health. Essentially, the Board of Health will contact those who are affected; all others will receive an email stating that they are not affected.”
