Hopkinton schools cancel in-person learning Friday due to ‘several’ COVID cases

by | Jan 14, 2021 | Education, Featured: Education

Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh announced Thursday afternoon that all Hopkinton schools will go remote Friday due to the fact that “several people in the HPS community have tested positive” for COVID-19, and “as a result, extensive contact tracing is necessary.”

Students who were to attend live classes are to receive information, including Zoom links, from their teachers.

All school athletic contests from Friday through Monday have been postponed or canceled.

Following the schools’ announcement, Hopkinton Parks & Recreation and the Hopkinton Basketball Association canceled all basketball clinics scheduled for Thursday night through Sunday night.
