The town is set to begin a cyclical inspection of every property in the town of Hopkinton in the next few weeks.

In a notice to residents, the town noted that over the next couple of months, an inspector will be dropping by local properties to conduct inspections.

These inspections, mandated by the Bureau of Local Assessment of the Department of Revenue, require Hopkinton to inspect every property in town at least once every 10 years. Mayflower Valuation completed a similar cyclical inspection of 500 properties in town back in 2022.

This year’s inspector is an individual by the name of Rick Ladd. His inspection will involve complete interior and exterior inspections of the property. Photographs and measurements of the exterior of the building and other structures will be documented as well.

In its notice to residents, the town gave information on how to identify Ladd when he arrives to do an inspection. He will be driving a 2020 white Nissan Murano, and will ask for permission to complete the inspection. Ladd’s information is registered with the Hopkinton Police Department.

More information on Ladd and the cyclical inspection program can be found on the town’s website.
