Hopkinton Today: Friday, Aug. 5

by | Aug 5, 2022 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

Matthew Lefebvre said he will bring a “no job is too small” mentality to his new role as principal of Hopkinton Middle School. “I believe in that old schoolhouse model that everyone here is really important,” Lefebvre said.

This year’s Concerts on the Common lineup includes bands that appeal to a variety of music fans — including reggae, blues, swing, rock and show tunes — and the final Sunday performance at the Town Common on Aug. 28 features the return of a Bollywood band in a nod to the town’s large Indian population.

This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is Betty Lou, a 2-year-old female dog who has become a staff favorite for being “one of the sweetest girls we know.”
