Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
School Committee Chair Nancy Cavanaugh has received mixed feedback on the new policy allowing vaccinated individuals the choice to remove their masks at Hopkinton High School, although there was more public input before the decision was made.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts will hold its annual fundraising gala Saturday night. This year’s event features a performance by singer/songwriter/pianist Bob Malone. Saturday’s gala also will include a live auction, raffles and other fundraising activities. And it marks the start of a week-long online silent auction.
The Friends of Hopkinton were planning to sponsor bounce houses at the Fruit Street fields this Saturday for children to enjoy during the youth soccer games there, but the organization announced Thursday that the event has been canceled.
This week’s Baypath Adoptable Animal is 4-year-old Ronan, an active and friendly boy who loves to play with toys and hike in the woods.
