Hopkinton Today: Monday, April 15

by | Apr 15, 2024 | Featured: Features,

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

There are 53 individuals registered to run today’s Boston Marathon who listed Hopkinton as their hometown. Click here to see the list, along with feature stories on many of those runners.

Roads immediately surrounding the Boston Marathon start line and Town Common (Main Street, Ash Street, Park Street and Hayden Rowe Street) will close at 6:30 a.m. today. All other roads leading into the downtown area will be closed for general travel as of 7 a.m.

The Hopkinton Trails Club will host a group walk at the Duck Pond Trail on Sunday, April 21, at 1 p.m. This often-overlooked system of trails is located behind the Hopkinton State Park headquarters.

Photo of the Day: Participants in Saturday’s 100-yard dash take off from the Boston Marathon start line Saturday. Click here for more photos from Boston Marathon weekend at the Town Common.
