Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

When Emma Tian was just 4 years old, her mother tried to find an activity for her. Tian, now 11, tried rhythmic gymnastics, and she has risen up the ranks to earn a spot at her first national meet this month.

A detour is planned for eastbound Main Street traffic on Monday and Wednesday this week due to work on the Main Street Corridor Project.

The Hopkinton Water-Sewer Department requested Saturday morning that residents on the municipal system turn off all sprinkler systems and refrain from any unnecessary outdoor water use due to a pump motor failure at one of the town’s water wells.

The Hopkinton Republican Town Committee met June 13 and elected a new Executive Committee.

Town meetings tonight include the Elementary School Building Committee (6) and Zoning Advisory Committee (7).
