Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
The Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for Special Olympics, was held Friday behind Hopkinton High School. According to HHS junior Bianca Pal, who led the organizing effort, the event has raised almost $5,000, with donations still being received.
Hopkinton’s latest COVID-19 update shows 32 active cases in town and includes the latest on the vaccination schedule.
The Boston Athletic Association recently announced details for the Virtual 125th Boston Marathon, which will be held Oct. 8-10, prior to the in-person Boston Marathon on Oct. 11. The virtual race is open to runners of all levels and abilities. Registration, which opens tomorrow, is available to the first 70,000 entrants ages 18 and older.
Town meetings tonight include the Planning Board (7).
