Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
It turns out that the farm animal that had been wandering free on Ash Street and previously referred to as a bull and a steer actually is a heifer — a young female cow. We now know this because, after a few months of sauntering into residents’ backyards and living in the woods, the heifer has been corralled and is living on a small farm off Ash Street.
This week’s Police Log includes one arrest along with reports of a vehicle striking a deer, illegal dumping on Main Street and a hunter on private property without permission.
The next monthly Veterans Breakfast at the Hopkinton Senior Center is this Friday at 9 a.m. An anonymous donor will absorb the cost of the meal.
Town meetings tonight include the School Committee (7) and Open Space Preservation Commission (7).
