Hopkinton Today: Thursday, Nov. 24

by | Nov 24, 2022 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

The 2022 football season has been marked by a strong turnaround for Hopkinton High School, and the Hillers are hoping their 180 continues in the annual Thanksgiving Day showdown with neighboring Ashland (10 a.m., Hughes Field).

This week’s Hiller’s Thrillers Athlete Spotlight shines on Charlie Miller, a first-year member of the Hopkinton High School boys cross country team who cracked the top 10 and became a leader as the Hillers went undefeated in dual meets and won the league meet.

In this week’s Independent Thoughts, the town pays tribute to Ann Click, the annual Holiday Stroll is set for Dec. 3, and Project Just Because is seeking help for the needy during the holiday season.

The latest Police Log includes an arrest along with reports of vandalism to holiday lights, overnight parking violations and more sightings of the wayward bull on Ash Street.

Photo of the Day: This week’s winner of the Hopkinton Independent/Bill’s Pizza photo contest is Helga Tate for this photo of Elsa, a cockerpoo puppy, on an early-morning walk at Lake Whitehall.
