The Hopkinton Public School district was ranked first in Niche’s 2024 Best Schools and Districts rankings for Massachusetts. Hopkinton also is ranked as being the best place to teach, and as having the best teachers.
Television industry veterans Bob Gilbert and wife Susan Scannell Gilbert of Hopkinton have produced a low-budget movie called “Atomic Poop,” which Bob described as “a romantic comedy, and in the middle of all the normal problems that romance has, aliens invade Earth!” The movie, filmed in Hopkinton and surrounding areas, is available for streaming.
The Conservation Commission at its meeting Tuesday night focused its attention on separate proposals for pedestrian foot bridges.
This week’s Police Log includes one arrest along with reports of stolen electric bicycles, a whining dog and an issue with a fraudulent contractor.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that construction operations have been scheduled for the Interstate 495 southbound off-ramp to Interstate 90 overnight this Thursday between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. During work, vehicles will be directed to use Exit 54A in Hopkinton (West Main Street) in order to access I-495 northbound to I-90.
