Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.
Five lucky veterans living at Fairview Estates will get the opportunity of a lifetime this summer: a chance to fly on a World War II-era biplane. The veterans from the Hopkinton senior living community will take to the skies today in Boeing Stearman biplanes out of Norwood Memorial Airport. The flights are offered as part of the Dream Flights program, which honors veterans with flights in authentic, restored aircraft.
Department of Public Works Director Kerry Reed announced that roadwork and paving was scheduled to start Monday on four streets in town.
This week’s Real Estate Transactions list shows seven sales, including one for $2.5 million.
The Hopkinton Trails Club will hold its next monthly meeting — open to the public — this Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Hopkinton Public Library. The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month to plan activities and discuss trails-related matters.
Town meetings tonight include the Commissioners of Trust Funds (5) and Elementary School Building Committee (6).
