Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
Hopkinton resident Patrick Sansonetti started raising money for cancer research via the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk as a tribute to longtime friend Darby Stott, who died in 2014. Earlier this year, Team Darby was honored for raising more than $1 million during its eight-year existence, as the group prepares for another walk this October.
Shelly Moran, the math coach for the Hopkinton Public Schools, never figured she would be teaching the subject to which she once had an aversion when she was in school.
This week’s Marathon Spotlight features Johanna Impellizeri, a former Assumption College basketball player who is running to raise funds for the Hopkinton Garden Club.
