Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
The Hopkinton Fire Department responded to a small fire at Start Line Brewing on Hayden Rowe Street Tuesday morning. Start Line owner Ted Twinney reports that the fire was contained to an old garage used for storage. He expressed gratitude that no one was injured, and he said restaurant activities will not be affected.
At its meeting on Monday, the Parks & Recreation Commission invited the Hopkinton Cricket Club and neighborhood residents to discuss a proposal to install a cricket pitch at Reed Park. The main issues raised by abutters revolved around increased traffic, poor road access and congested parking.
An Eastbound detour will be in place on Main Street at the intersection of Route 135 and Route 85 from Wednesday through Friday of this week as part of the Main Street Corridor Project.
The town’s Information Technology Department on Tuesday introduced its design concept for the redesigned town website and is asking residents for their thoughts about it.
This week’s Senior Snippets includes information on a variety of programs, including a presentation on Antarctica and its penguins.
Town meetings tonight include the Sustainable Green Committee (6) and School Committee (a one-item special meeting at 7).
