by | Mar 29, 2023 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

At Tuesday’s Select Board meeting, the board removed the Town Meeting article related to a proposed tax increment financing (TIF) agreement with Altaeros Energies, which no longer plans to renovate and inhabit the building at 80 South Street, although it apparently is considering other options in town. Also, at its Town Meeting on Saturday, Southborough voted in favor of proceeding with design plans for Hopkinton to connect to Southborough’s water system in order to access water that comes from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.

Members of the Hopkinton HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) team took part in the State Leadership Conference on March 18 at Worcester State University. A total of 28 Hopkinton High School and Hopkinton Middle School students finished in the top three in various events and qualified for the International Leadership Conference, which will be held in Dallas from June 21-24.

The Hopkinton Women’s Club will host its 35th annual Meet the Candidates Night on Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m.

This week’s Real Estate Transactions includes two more properties at The Trails on Weston Lane.

Town meetings tonight include the Appropriation Committee (6) and Trails Coordination & Management Committee (7:30).
