Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
The race for president remained a close one nationally heading into Wednesday morning, but in Hopkinton it was a landslide victory for Democrat Joe Biden. While there are some votes still to be counted — primarily late-arriving mail-in ballots and those that were placed in the drop box at Town Hall on Tuesday — the unofficial results showed Biden with 6,976 votes to 2,936 for incumbent Donald Trump.
The residents who proposed two four-lot developments off Cedar Street Extension and Lincoln Street introduced two new plans at Monday’s Planning Board meeting in hopes of getting support from board members.
The Department of Public Works is reminding residents that as per the town bylaws, vehicles are not allowed to be parked on any street between 1-6 a.m. from Nov. 15 through April 1.
