Jill Welch, 65

Jill L. Welch (Parker), 65, of Hopkinton and formerly of Northbridge, died in Northbridge after an illness.

Jill was born on July 9, 1956, in Whitinsville to the late Angus A. and Gloria W. (Skoog) Parker.

Jill worked for many years at the Picadilly Pub in Westborough, Golden Goose Daycare in Hopkinton and for the Department of Corrections as a dispatcher.

She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and time on the beach.

Jill is survived by her son, Michael Fitzgerald of Massachusetts; her siblings, Terrill Parker of Florida, Judith Flynn of Westborough, Edward Parker of Monson, and Bonnie Grimala and husband Paul of Uxbridge; her former husband, George Welch; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jill was predeceased by sisters Linda Kapnik and Penny Parker.

A calling hour will be held for Jill on Friday, Nov. 5, from 10-11 a.m. at Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Uxbridge. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jill’s name may be made to Omni Healthcare Staffing Agency, 390 Main Street, No. 734, Worcester, MA 01608.
