Business Profile: Kidsborough Summer Program

by | Apr 17, 2019 | Business, Education

Themed programs allow parents to customize child’s schedule

The Kidsborough Summer Program is filled with new and exciting adventures to be explored.

Among the latest themed descriptions, you’ll find many fun weeks including: Galactic Getaway, Super Sleuths, Change of Art, Once Upon A Time — An Engineer Solved Everything, and the third annual Kidsborough Olympics.

“Our summer program offers children from age 5 through sixth grade a lot of enrichment, and there’s something for everyone,” said Joanna Rowe, senior site support administrator. “Our staff are great, and they love engaging with the children through fun indoor and outdoor activities all summer long.”

Your child might choose to participate in a special spy training institute, explore the galaxies, learn about our national parks and historical landmarks or create stunning works of art from unusual materials, or other fun activities. A few interesting field trips are planned this summer as well.

For 20 years, the caring staff at Kidsborough have provided a safe place for social and emotional growth, and students often create lasting friendships over the course of each summer. Most teachers are trained educators who work closely with college-age group leaders interested in the field of education.

Kidsborough provides a low teacher-student ratio of 1:6. This allows the staff to lead a structured program, interact more with students and parents, and better manage all aspects of safety.

Kidsborough offers a flexible schedule for families — a significant advantage over other summer programs. Register your child for a day or two or schedule one or more weeks or the full summer. Customizing your child’s activity schedule allows you to keep family obligations and vacation planning intact.

An outdoor playground is available for plenty of fresh air and field activities. Your child can practice his or her skills in soccer, football, baseball, basketball, ultimate frisbee or even cricket or quidditch.

The 34 Hayden Rowe St. location is open throughout the summer from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. with structured program hours between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Two healthy snacks are provided. Families pack a lunch for their children.

Register your child online at www.kidsborough.com or call 508-435-5430 for a summer of enrichment, community and fun.
