Letter to the Editor: Doyle for Select Board

by | May 13, 2025 | Letter to Editor

I’m writing to express my strong support for my brother Jeff Doyle’s candidacy for the Hopkinton Select Board.

Our family’s roots in Hopkinton run deep — going back to our great-grandfather — and this town has always been more than just a place to live. It’s where we’ve grown up, built friendships and returned to as adults to raise our own young families. We feel lucky to call this place home, and we’re invested in keeping it strong — for today and for the next generation.

What stands out about my brother is how seriously he takes this opportunity. He has the ability to get to the heart of complicated issues quickly, understand multiple perspectives and form a clear, well-reasoned view. He brings a thoughtful, fair-minded approach and will do what’s best for the long term.

More than anything, he loves this town. He wants it to thrive for everyone – whether you’ve lived here for generations or just moved to town. His heart is in making sure this remains a place where everyone feels proud to live. I hope you’ll consider supporting his candidacy.

— Brian Doyle, Hopkinton

Letter to the Editor: Virtual Horribles Parade set for July 4

Letter to the Editor: PFAS regulation needs to get sticky

PFAS, the forever chemicals lurking in your kitchen, clothes and even your takeout box are sticking around for way too long. You might not see them, but they’re everywhere — and they are never leaving. From nonstick cookware to water-repellent jackets, these toxic...

Letter to the Editor: Horribles Parade deserves town support

It was disappointing to hear public comments characterizing the July Fourth parade as a Republican parade. It is a town event. Always has been. Who stepped forward to facilitate the parade for the town has varied over its long history. My family organized it for...

Letter to the Editor: Aggressive driver on Wood Street lucky

To the blithering idiot that thought it a good idea to pass, one, two or maybe three cars on Wood Street, between No. 200 and No. 164 Saturday eve at about 8, I trust you are relieved that I wasn’t driving a truck, but instead a GTI, and that I knew enough to look...
