Letter to the Editor: LaFreniere for Select Board

by | Apr 23, 2022 | Letter to Editor

I’ve had the pleasure to work with Mary Jo LaFreniere on the Select Board for the past three years. Part of the job as a member of the Select Board is bringing leadership and perspective, and Mary Jo brings both skills to the table. No one member can say they delivered a specific project, but they can provide a perspective that represents certain segments of our town, and Mary Jo has done just that. Her work with the town’s Assessing Department brings a fresh perspective as Select Board when we consider projects, project costs and how we pay for them.

She also engages with our senior community and speaks on their behalf. Her dedication to our town and senior community has been incredibly valuable as we consider funding for the Senior Center and the needs of the senior community.

What I’ve seen in Mary Jo is incredible hard work, and her work on the Board of Assessors, Marathon Committee, Tax Relief Committee and Commissioners of Trust Funds demonstrates her dedication.

I am proud to endorse Mary Jo because I believe her professionalism and dedication to the Town as a member of the Select Board will continue to guide us in the right direction as we navigate through the incredible challenges the future holds.

— Irfan Nasrullah, Hopkinton
