I am writing to support Shahidul Mannan in his reelection campaign for Select Board. Shahidul has the experience to lead our town through the difficult issues we will face in the next few years. He takes the time to research, analyze data and listen to diverse viewpoints before making decisions. Shahidul has shown leadership in working on our water quality issues, budget planning and economic development.

As a liaison to the Elementary School Building Committee, I have witnessed Shahidul ask difficult questions to ensure that the project stays on track and within budget. He has also worked to deeply understand our school budget, including the rationale behind the expenses and questions how we may save money while still prioritizing student services. He models collaboration and respect for all of Hopkinton. Shahidul is the type of leader Hopkinton needs right now. He works tirelessly on behalf of every Hopkinton resident. I urge my friends and neighbors to join me in voting for Shahidul Mannan on May 19.
