Letter to the Editor: Mannan for Select Board

by | May 15, 2025 | Letter to Editor

I would like to add my name to the group of supporters for the reelection of Shahidul Mannan to the Hopkinton Select Board.

Mr. Mannan has served in his capacity as a board member with distinction and balance on a myriad of important issues coming before our town. His voice on budget constraints, school construction and politically difficult confrontations within the Police Department has been quiet but thoughtful and always informed. As the Select Board liaison to the Hopkinton Public Library — on whose own board I sit — Mr Mannan has shown genuine interest and support in the workings and programmatic development of this important cultural source for our community.

I heartily encourage all Hopkinton residents to vote next Monday and advance the reelection of Shahidul Mannan.

— Warren Carter, Hopkinton
