As we approach Election Day, I want to take a moment to remind all Hopkinton residents to vote on May 19.
The truth is, you have more control, influence and access to local politics versus anything you see on TV about national issues. And local officials have more to do with line items on your tax bills than the feds or state. Smarter people than me said it better: “Think global, act local.” “All politics is local.”
That stated, I also want to share why I strongly endorse electing Shahidul Mannan and Matt Kizner to the Hopkinton Select Board. As someone who believes in smart, sustainable progress, I have been deeply impressed by Shahidul’s forward-looking vision for the economic growth in Hopkinton and Matt’s stalwart inspection of what is economically viable for a sustained, prosperous future.
We need experienced leaders at this time who can help forge a future for Hopkinton.
I hope you’ll consider both at the ballot box and make this the highest turnout Hopkinton election of all time!
— Parker Happ, Hopkinton
