Letter to the Editor: Mimmo for Select Board

by | May 6, 2024 | Letter to Editor

I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Peter Mimmo for Select Board. I have known Peter for over 10 years, after meeting his wife through a mutual friend. Throughout the campaign, as the two of us run for Select Board, I am only more impressed with Peter’s experience and skills as a leader. Peter has spent his career as a civil litigation attorney, a position that requires careful listening and negotiation to bring divisive parties together into an agreement. His experience with labor relations and contracts will be a strong asset to the town, as these issues will be in front of the next Select Board. Peter has already spent many hours preparing for the campaign. He has met with many former and current Select Board members for advice to make sure he understands the town’s issues completely. He has read numerous reports, budgets and studies and taken the time to thoroughly understand each nuance. In addition, Peter is committed to listening to the residents of Hopkinton. We are both committed to starting open office hours for the Select Board in order to hear the concerns of Hopkinton citizens. I believe that Peter has the experience, leadership and potential to lead Hopkinton. I hope that you will join me in electing Peter to the Select Board on May 20.

— Kyla McSweeney, Hopkinton
