Letter to the Editor: Rezoning push on South Street annoying

by | Apr 9, 2024 | Letter to Editor

What’s the definition of insanity? The town voted no to developing Hayward Street and South Street three times in the last 30 years, but Marguerite Concrete continues to try push a plan for development.

Worse, Marguerite Concrete is wasting the time of residents and our elected officials when representatives last minute no-showed at the April 8 Zoning Advisory Committee meeting instead of doing the right thing and withdrawing in advance.

It’s unprofessional, shows lack of respect, and is wasting taxpayer resources.

Marguerite should have purchased the land on contingency of rezoning.

But the town should not spot zone for one resident nor be responsible to bail out a company for a bad business decision.

— Paula Auciello, Hopkinton

Letter to the Editor: Extreme political rhetoric must be curtailed

When I watched the Aug. 14 Hopkinton School Committee meeting on HCAM, I was shocked by what I heard. At the start of the meeting, around the two-minute mark, member Chris Masters was trying to connect remotely and having technical difficulties. Chair Kyla...
