Letter to the Editor: Stephenson for School Committee

by | Apr 20, 2023 | Letter to Editor

I write to encourage people to vote for Susan Stephenson for School Committee. Susan offers decades of experience in education. She’s taught a great many students from a wide variety of backgrounds. In the classroom and as advisor for student activities, her understanding and compassion for them shone through.

I speak from experience. As academic games sponsor, Susan guided, encouraged, and coached me and several other classmates to national success over several years. The commitment, resilience and determination we learned from her example and leadership inspire us still.

Beyond academics, Susan has experience understanding teachers and school support staff as well as taxpayers. She knows the importance of ensuring tax dollars are used efficiently and wisely to provide the best possible education while not taking any more dollars than necessary.

For all these reasons and more, I enthusiastically encourage voters to elect Susan Stephenson to help lead the community’s education efforts to a bright future!

— Tim Tuinstra, Johnstown, Pennsylvania
