Letter to the Editor: Stephenson for School Committee

by | May 3, 2023 | Letter to Editor

Having myself been an educator for over 40 years, I recognize the dedication and commitment that Susan Stephenson will bring to the table as a School Committee member. Ms. Stephenson understands what it takes to teach through her own experience as an educator. Her value comes from years of direct daily contact with students, colleagues and administrators. This perspective adds to the depth and breadth of the School Committee members who currently have children in our school system.

Teaching in today’s climate is not easy. We need someone who has institutional knowledge of what has worked and what has not in the past. We need someone who can objectively discuss and assess what is needed to sustain our excellent schools here in Hopkinton.

I ask Hopkinton residents to strongly consider Ms. Stephenson for School Committee. Please vote on Monday, May 15.

— Cynthia Esthimer, Hopkinton
